Just last week, British Columbia native Leeroy Stagger announced his eleventh studio album, Love Versus. Unique in that Love Versus is the first recording made at his home studio in southern Alberta, the 10-track album prominently showcases Staggers’ fusion of roots, rock and pop. Along with the album announcement came news of signing to True North Records and the release of the first single off Love Versus, “I Want It All.” Today, fans can check out the music video for the single, exclusively in the player above.

When discussing the track, Stagger shares, ““I Want It All” came about after meditating on this idea of being grateful for what I have as opposed to the things I want or feel I need. With the video, we sought to reflect the humanity and unpretentiousness of the song, The shoot was unscripted, letting the characters we met along the way help tell the story.”

Produced by Colin Stewart (Dan Mangan, Black Mountain, Yukon Blonde), Love Versus features a dream band for Stagger. With Pete Thomas (longtime drummer for Elvis Costello), guitarist Paul Rigby (Neko Case), keyboardist Geoff Hilhorst (The Deep Dark Woods), and Stagger’s longtime bassist Tyson Maiko, the album was recorded in just three weeks and is sure to be an essential listen for fans, old and new alike.

Love Versus will be released April 7th via True North Records and can be pre-ordered here.
