Today Pop-tastic Singer-Songwriter Morty Shallman comes to life with his new single "She's Breaking Bad." Taken from his upcoming EP release, Pop Fiction, he serves up a delicious taste of his new endeavor.
For the new single Shallman teamed up with two esteemed Los Angeles producers and songwriters Jeff Blue and Steve Dresser. Impressed by Morty's vocal and songwriting abilities (though who isn't?!), the trio teamed up to create a musical force like no other.
Morty Shallman says of the song:
"After writing, performing and producing every note on my previous EP, Halo, I decided to shake things up a bit for my next project, and teamed up with industry legend Jeff Blue, who I met through the Music Xray website. Jeff, who is best known for discovering Linkin Park, brought in multi-instrumentalist and studio whiz Steve Dresser, and together we crafted two of the four tracks on my upcoming EP, Pop Fiction, including the lead single, She’s Breaking Bad. It was an amazing experience working with two such accomplished pros in the studio. They really pushed me to do my best, both as a writer and as a singer, and I’m thrilled with the results, especially She's Breaking Bad, which has this driving synth pop vibe that really works with the tune's post-modern "Bonnie and Clyde" style story line.
Echoing throughout the piece, the harmonious vocals that follow behind Shallman help to set the perfect setting of the song. Within the track we hear Morty's smooth, strong vocals and witty lyricism that has him breaking new barriers. With hypnotic beats that are placed intricately throughout, we experience an artist that is already on the rise for 2017.
