Exclusive Preview: Trump Stars in His Own Kids Book for April’s MAD Magazine

If anyone is benefitting from the parade of red flags gushing forth from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., it’s the press. Journalism has found new purpose in untangling the lies, half-truths and trail of dead Russians mired in the presidency of Donald John Trump. Appropriately, that budding relationship has been pretty damn rocky; Press Secretary Sean Spicer hasn’t exactly kept his cool with pointed questions, and Trump even ditched signing a pair of executive orders when reporters asked him about former national security advisor Michael Flynn. But it’s cool: these journos are just peddling fake news after all.

MAD Magazine tosses its own correspondent, Alfred E. Neuman, at Trumpkin in the cover for its April issue—available digitally on 4/7 and on newsstands 4/18. In addition to Mark Fredrickson’s cover, Sam Viviano and Jim Campbell offer a scathing parody of David Shannon’s Caldecott-winning children’s book No, David! with No, Donald!. As seen in the preview below, this iteration ends with a happy ending we can only hope becomes a reality.
