At this point, if you haven’t heard of New Jersey indie rockers Dryjacket, you’re doing everything wrong. Back in October, the band joined Yellowcard as support on their final tour, hitting major cities across the United States from San Francisco to Vegas to New York and everywhere in between. Most recently, the band completed their first UK tour, supporting The Early November, performing in London, Manchester, and Glasgow among others. As if that wasn’t enough chaos for the band, Dryjacket released their debut album, For Posterity, this past January via Hopeless Records. The album documents a series of unfavorable events and led to the band creating music that was nothing but honest and vulnerable. Needless to say, Dryjacket has a lot going on and they’re doing just about everything right.
Today we are thrilled to premiere Dryjacket’s brand new music video for “Patron Without Funds.” Directed by Josh Coll, who is known for his work on all of the Foxing music videos, “Patron Without Funds” shows a Wall Street man who really just wants to have fun and bring his dreams to life. The video follows the man as he dances around the mean streets of New York City (including Times Square) and is inspiring to those of us who question whether or not we can do the things we’ve always imagined. Essentially it’s the video for the dreamers, those who are too much in their head that they're afraid to bring those dreams to life. Take a few minutes from your day to check out the video for “Patron Without Funds," exclusively in the player above, and be inspired to go out and do something that will make you happy.
“Patron Without Funds” is off Dryjacket’s debut album, For Posterity, out now via Hopeless Records. For more info on For Posterity and to stay updated with all things Dryjacket, head on over to http://dryjacket.com/.
