It’s always exciting to hear the process behind writing an album. Some musicians write in the comfort of their own home over the course of a few months while other artist like The Delta Saints had to record their album in just six days in the studio. For Atlanta based rock duo ‘68, Josh Scogin (Norma Jean, The Chariot) and Michael McClellan wrote and recorded their brand new album Two Parts Viper over the course of seven months while the band toured nonstop in 2016. The band will be releasing Two Parts Viper tomorrow via Cooking Vinyl, but today fans can stream the album exclusively here on Paste.

Full of ten tracks that are so uniquely different from one another while still managing to fit together seamlessly, Two Parts Viper takes the listener on a thrilling musical excursion from start to finish. “It is a journey that is meant to be heard as a full statement from track 1 to track 10. I can’t just name one thing about the record that makes me proud, it's a whole package - the art, the music, the journey it took to get finished, the songs I deleted, the ones I kept, the struggles and the victories,” shares vocalist and guitarist Josh Scogin. "It all had to happen just the way it did or this album would not exist the way it does.”

Two Parts Viper will be released tomorrow, June 2nd, via Cooking Vinyl and can be streamed in full in the player above. For more information and to pre-order the album, head on over to http://68.lnk.to/tpv.
