Looking for some feel-good mid-week jams? Look no further! Nashville-based indie band The Daybreaks have been diligently working on creating music that will resonate with fans and the result is their debut album, Find Me at the End of the World, out later this month. The band, who creates a sound that is theatrical, yet full of retro vibes that we’ve been completely obsessing over. Today we’re excited to partner with the band to premiere their newest single, “Do Whatever Gets You High.”
Kaleb Jones of the band shares with us the meaning behind the track. "If you're doing something that scares you, it probably means you're on to something. All the best things in life are on the other side of fear. That's really what "Do Whatever Gets You High" is about. It has sort of become our rallying cry for shirking convention and following our instincts.” Listen to the track in the player above.
The Daybreaks are currently in the running to win Southwest Airlines “Destination: Red Rocks” contest with five other bands. The band was chosen to represent Nashville in the “Live @ 35” performance aboard Southwest Airlines from BNA to LAX. The performance was taped and fans are encouraged to vote online at Southwest.fm/TheDaybreaks to win an opportunity to open for The Fray at world-famous Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO on June 26th by voting.
