Nintendo’s SNES Classic Will Only be Available for Three Months

Get ready to hold tight to your hopes and dreams of playing Star Fox 2, because Nintendo’s SNES Classic mini console is only going to be on the market for three months. Yup. Only three.

Business Insider reports that the mini console is intended to be a collector’s item, rather than something that will be available all year long. Nintendo’s statement to BI states that once the system goes on sale on Sept. 29, it will only be available until the end of the calendar year of 2017.

Preorders have not yet gone live in the U.S., but we recommend that your get your hands on one the moment they come out so you don’t miss out on your chance. Because if the NES Classic mini console craze last year is any indication, fans are going to go absolutely nuts over this one.
