If you visit Maker’s Mark between now and October, the distillery’s beautiful stills aren’t the only piece of art you’ll come across. Starting this month, the historic Kentucky distillery is displaying a number of pieces created by renowned artist Dale Chihuly.
“Just as my grandparents, the founders of Maker’s Mark, first envisioned, we’re committedto enhancing our visitor experience with culturally immersive opportunities unlike any otherdistillery in theworld,” says Rob Samuels, the eighth-generation whiskey maker and Chief Operating Officer of Maker’s Mark. “Creating our handmade bourbon isn’t a job- it’s an art form. It’s an honor to have formed such a lasting relationship with world-renowned artist DaleChihuly.”
From now through October 31st, admission to Chihuly at Maker’s is included in the $12 cost of a traditional distillery tour. Maker’s is also offering a special “Chihuly Nights” program on Saturdays between July 22-October 7th where visitors can see the display lit up at night. The distillery’s new restaurant, Star Hill Provisions is also open during those nights for cocktails and food.
If you’re in the Kentucky area (or plan to be before the end of October), you can snag tickets on Maker’s website here. Maker’s was nice enough to invite us to Kentucky for the day to check the beautiful installation out ourselves. If you aren’t going to have the chance to see it in person, you can see it in photos in the gallery above.
