FYF Fest Will Be the First U.S. Music Festival to Stream Live on Twitter

The L.A.-based FYF Fest is right around the corner—this weekend, to be exact, on July 21-23. We’ve covered its dream lineup, which includes epic headliners like Missy Elliott, Frank Ocean, Nine Inch Nails and Bjork—however, if you weren’t able to score a weekend pass for whatever reason and are suffering from major FOMO, worry not.

FYF Fest announced today that a livestream of the festival will be available exclusively on Twitter. This will be the first-ever U.S. festival to be streamed live on the social media site, and the first time FYF has ever had their festival available through a streaming partner. The stream is presented by Toyota C-HR and is set to be live on both Saturday (July 22) and Sunday (July 23) from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. PDT. The stream will include live sets from the festival’s performers, as well as interviews, crowd shots and behind-the-scenes footage—basically, you’ll be able to get the whole FYF Festival experience from the comfort of your bedroom.

The stream follows in the trend of live music streams on Twitter in the past year, which have included footage of the red carpet at the Grammys, behind-the-scenes lifestyle content at Coachella and a series of Live Nation shows, including Marion Hill, Zach Brown and Ariana Grande’s #OneLoveManchester show. The livestream will be available for free to both members and non-members of Twitter and connected devices in the U.S.

FYF Fest is being held in Exposition Park in Los Angeles, Calif. this weekend—access the livestream at twitter.com/FYFFEST and via the festival Twitter handle @FYFFEST. Find Paste Cloud footage from a 1994 Nine Inch Nails show below to hold you down until this weekend.
