During Tales of the Cocktail, spirit’s producer Diageo threw a huge end-of-week party headlined by Snoop Dogg, the face of one of its brands: Tanqueray.
While there was certainly an abundance of gin and juice on hand (obviously), there were also some epic cocktails made using some of the other brands in Diaego’s portfolio, including Smirnoff, Bulleit, Don Julio, and Johnnie Walker, some of which were inspired by the man of the hour.
We were on hand for the party (and actually got to cheers Snoop Dogg before he stepped on stage), and afterward got our hands on some of the recipes used for the night’s drinks so we could recreate the Dogg House at home.
Check out some of the night’s best cocktails below:
Tanqueray No. TEN Green Machine
1 oz. Tanqueray No. TEN
1/2 oz. Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz. Green Apple Juice
1/4 oz. Cucumber Cilantro Juice
1/4 oz. Agave
Lemon Wedge for Garnish
Preparation: Combine Tanqueray No. TEN, pineapple juice, green apple juice, cucumber cilantro juice, and agave into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain contents into a rocks glass with ice. Garnish with lemon wedge.
Don Julio Cool Aid
1 1/2 oz. Tequila Don Julio Reposado
3/4 oz. Pink Port
3/4 oz. Grapefruit Juice
1/2 oz. Tarragon-Infused Agave
Preparation: Combine Tequila Don Julio Reposado, Pink Port, grapefruit, and tarragon agave into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain contents into a pouch.
Calvin’s Black Tea Punch
1 1/2 oz. Johnnie Walker Black Label
1/4 oz. Tanqueray No. TEN
2 oz. Black Tea
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
Grapefruit Wheel for Garnish
Preparation: Combine Johnnie Walker Black Label, Tanqueray No. TEN, black tea, simple syrup, lemon juice and grapefruit juice into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain contents into a rocks glass with ice. Garnish with grapefruit wheel.
3/4 oz. Crown Royal Vanilla Whiskey
1/4 oz. Pineapple Juice
1 Dash Lemon
1 Dash Angostura Bitters
Preparation: Combine Crown Royal Vanilla Whiskey, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and Angostura Bitters into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain contents into a shot glass.
1 oz. George Dickel No. 12
1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
1/2 Blackberry Puree Syrup
1 oz. Ginger Beer
Blackberries for Garnish
Preparation: Combine George Dickel No. 12, lemon juice, blackberry puree syrup, and ginger beer into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain contents into a Dickel Tin. Garnish with blackberries.
