Saturday is historically the busiest day of San Diego Comic-Con. Jet streams of people filter through the hubs of the San Diego Convention Center, masses unburdened by weekday nine-to-fives or travel plans. That amplified exposure means increased cosplay activity, with players adorned in layers of vinyl and velvet. Comparatively, this year seemed lighter than years past. But as seen in our photo coverage over the past few days, a ton of creative and apt costumes still appeared, and that innovation escalated on the weekend’s marquee day.
