“Got it Going On,” by My Silent Bravery, is one of my favorite types of music; “feel good music.” It’s versatile, not exactly pop, not exactly rock, just good music. The hook is confident and catchy, I love the braggadocios theme of this anthem-like tune. I could easily see a fleet of cars on a busy freeway having personal concerts just to remind the world (and themselves) they “Got it Going On.”
It probably doesn’t help that the beat is incredibly infectious with a steady drum cadence driven by the bass, some fun snares, and cymbals thrown in for good measure. The lead vocalist Matthew Wade, is pretty awesome to say the least with incredible vocal range. His voice is rich but light, and he accompanies the instrumentation of the song with ease.
"Got it Going On," is the first single from the group's upcoming release named "Willing to Try." Co-written by Jim McGorman (Gwen Stefani, Avril Lavigne, Poison), it's safe to say that it will be one of the standout records of late 2017. Garnering critical acclaim from the likes of Sirius XM to Paste Magazine, My Silent Bravery constantly impresses with passionate music that takes you to another world. We can't wait to hear what's up next!
