San Francisco’s Outside Lands festival went down this weekend in Golden Gate Park, with Metallica, The Who, and Gorillaz topping the bill.
Also on the roster was Lorde, who paused her set on Sunday to bring out “a very special friend of mine”: her Melodrama collaborator, Jack Antonoff of Bleachers. The pair sat on the lip of the stage and played a song that, as Lorde introduced it, they “both love very much”—an acoustic cover of Paul Simon’s “Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard,” with Antonoff on guitar.
