Pure Comedy enthusiasts missing out on Father John Misty’s sold-out show in Nashville have a chance to spend lunch with him at Third Man Records on Sept. 26. Josh Tillman will be appearing for a free acoustic show in Third Man’s Blue Room, and the performance will be recorded by Third Man engineers for future release.
This first-come, first-served event will most likely draw more people than the Blue Room is able to accommodate, so anyone who gets in will be lucky enough as it is. However, one randomly chosen attendee will get the added bonus of leaving with a 10” vinyl record, cut to acetate on the spot. Others in attendance will be able to preorder the record after the set.
Nashville’s independent radio Lightning 100 is graciously giving away 25 pairs of guaranteed-entry tickets, but other than that, entry will be granted via the box office when doors open at noon. Check out the flyer for this momentous—and did we mention free—occasion, as well as a Daytrotter Session from FJM below, and read our review of Pure Comedy here.
