has been dead for eight years now, but like many icons of popular music, that little fact hasn’t stopped him from releasing albums. Two have emerged since he passed away, 2010’s Michael and 2014’s XScape, both of which excavated songs that had been languishing in Jackson’s voluminous vault and repackaged them for new ears (e.g., “Never Felt So Good,” the Justin Timberlake “duet” on XScape).
Now we’re being teased with a new, new Michael Jackson album, with the late singer’s Twitter account trumpeting something called Scream via a 15-second animated video. Check it out:
As Hip Hop N More points out, there are also some posters up in Germany advertising Scream as an “album coming out September 29.”
“Scream,” for what it’s worth, was also the title of Jackson’s 1995 duet with his sister Janet Jackson, the lead single off his album of that year, HIstory: Past, Present and Future, Book I.
