Chance the Rapper To Perform at Obama Foundation Summit

At the end of the month, Barack Obama is holding the inaugural summit for the Obama Foundation in Chicago, where “hundreds of leaders from around the world will come together to exchange ideas, explore creative solutions to common problems, and experience civic art, technology, and music from around the world.”

The event, which will take place Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, wraps with a concert curated by one of Chicago’s own, Chance the Rapper. He announced the news in a video: “As soon as I heard about the summit, I jumped at the opportunity,” he said. “There’s a lot of great things going on in Chicago, and I love the collaborative effort of being able to be at some of these talks and hear what people have going on and figuring out how I fit in.”

Chance, along with Gloria Estefan and The National, are set to perform. Others artists will be joining them, but as for who, Chance “can’t say right now.” Watch the announcement from Chance the Rapper below, along with Obama’s video detailing the summit beneath that.
