First Aid Kit Promenade Through Stockholm in Their Sliding Doors-Inspired Video for "It's A Shame"

Swedish sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg of First Aid Kit live out parallel universes in their new video for “It’s A Shame.” Directed by the duo’s friend and longtime collaborator Mats Udd, the video was inspired by 1998 romantic drama Sliding Doors, and features each of the sisters promenading at night through the same surroundings, encountering the same people, but having completely opposite experiences. Johanna has a pleasant time exploring Stockholm, while Klara’s parade gets rained on by a street-performing band, a gutter ball, a couple of catty girls and, well, literal rain. Watch the split-screen video below.

The duo is currently playing a string of U.S. shows and just announced a North American headlining tour slated for 2018. It kicks off Jan. 24 in Oakland, Calif., and will feature Van William as support. See the tour dates below, underneath First Aid Kit’s new video and their performance of “Waltz for Richard” from the Paste Cloud.
