Linkin Park Release Carpool Karaoke Episode in Honor of Chester Bennington

Less than a week before Chester Bennington’s tragic death, he and his Linkin Park bandmates recorded an episode with Ken Jeong for James Corden’s hilarious Carpool Karaoke, showing just how unexpected the frontman’s suicide was, given his seemingly happy demeanor just prior to his death. Out of respect, Corden deferred to Bennington’s family on the decision of whether to air the episode.

Today, several months after Bennington’s death, his family gave Linkin Park permission to share the episode online, stating, “With the blessing of Chester’s family and his bandmates, we share this episode, and dedicate it to the memory of Chester.” In the video, he and his passengers are all smiles, exchanging banter about Jeong being a part of the band, singing along to the likes of Outkast, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Aerosmith, and even playing some of their own hits.
