Dan Auerbach is about to kick off a short run of shows supporting his latest release Waiting on a Song, but he took some time to bring the album to life on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night. Spirited as always, he performed “Stand By My Girl” and “Cherry Bomb,” and assisting him was the house band of his label Easy Eye Sound, comprised of Gene “Bubba” Chrisman, Bobby Wood, Russ Pahl and Dave Roe. During both performances, he bounced around on stage while hammering away at some psychedelic guitar riffs.
Auerbach also recently announced his “Easy Eye Sound Revue Tour,” featuring two artists signed to his label, Robert Finley and Shannon Shaw. Shannon & the Clams, his label’s latest signee, are releasing their album around the time the tour kicks off in February, and will also be joining in on the run, opening for Auerbach each night. The trek runs for 20 dates until its end in April.
