Annie Lennox Re-releasing Diva and Medusa on Vinyl, Holding Concert for Charity

Sony Music Entertainment has announced that former Eurythmics frontwoman and pop iconoclast Annie Lennox will re-release her seminal albums, Diva and Medusa, on vinyl on Mar. 2.

After spending much of the 1980s ruling both sides of the Atlantic with her Eurythmics partner David A. Stewart, Lennox made a huge splash as a solo artist in 1992 with the release of Diva. Billed as an “Essential Recordings of the ‘90s” by Rolling Stone, the album was critically acclaimed and went multi-platinum in the U.S. and the U.K., where it debuted at No. 1. Her blockbuster debut album was followed up with 1995’s Medusa, a collection of soul, rock and pop covers. The album was another multi-platinum smash, spending 60 weeks on the Billboard 200. Both releases won Lennox multiple awards, including two Grammys and three Brit Awards, while yielding classics like “Why,” “Walking on Broken Glass” and “No More I Love Yous.”

Along with the album re-releases, Lennox will hold a concert titled “Annie Lennox – An Evening of Music and Conversation” on Mar. 4 at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London. Fans will get a chance to hear Lennox perform and share her thoughts and memories on the albums, while ticket proceeds will go to her charitable foundation The Circle.
