The latest trailer for one of 2018’s most anticipated games, Dim Bulb Games’ Where the Water Tastes Like Wine, dropped a casting bombshell with the announcement that Grammy award-winning musician Sting will voice a character known simply as “The Wolf.”
The title is being developed by Johnneman Nordhagen’s studio, Dim Bulb Games. The co-founder of Gone Home developer Fullbright brings his storytelling pedigree to the game, based in and around American folklore as characters travel and share stories, but even he found Sting’s addition to the project surprising.
We already knew the game featured breathtaking artwork and stellar story contributions from writers in various spheres of the videogame community, but the announced voice cast only adds to the game’s credibility.
Joining Sting will be Cissy Jones (Firewatch, Life is Strange), Melissa Hutchison (The Walking Dead), Dave Fennoy (The Walking Dead), Kimberly Brooks (Mass Effect) and Elizabeth Maxwell (Attack on Titan).
Where the Water Tastes Like Wine doesn’t have a set release date yet, but the game is expected to be released for PC early this year. Until then, enjoy the trailer and a 1986 Police performance from the Paste Cloud, and get ready for that wolf.
