Starting next year, if you visit Scotland you’ll be able to book a room in BrewDog’s own beer hotel called The DogHouse.
The brewery recently announced plans to open the hotel in early 2019. Along with that announcement it passed along a few details about the soon-to-open property, that has us ready to book our plane tickets.
“The DogHouse is our gift to passionate craft beer fans making the pilgrimage to our brewery in Aberdeenshire. The idea of opening a beer hotel has always been high on our agenda, and now we are finally able to realise that dream, right here at our HQ,” BrewDog founder James Watt said in a statement. “This will be the ultimate destination for craft beer fans seeking hops with their holidays. This is a beer Nirvana.”
The 26-room hotel will feature beer taps in every room, a built-in shower beer fridge, and a bird’s eye view of BrewDog’s brewery.
The rooms will all overlook the actual brewery, which it’s also expanding to include a new 300 hl brewhouse as well as a canning and packaging hall.
Funding for both the hotel and the brewery came from BrewDog’s “Equity for Punks” crowdfunding program. Investors in that program will get priority booking.
The hotel was originally a concept BrewDog planned on implementing in the United States at its Colombus, Ohio location. It still plans to open a hotel at that location as well.
