Peter Frampton and Steve Miller Band Announce Joint U.S. Tour

Peter Frampton and Steve Miller Band have announced a joint U.S. tour.

The two acts are hitting the road together again and have added U.S. dates in addition to their previously announced Canadian run.

Frampton said of touring with Steve Miller Band:

Having had such a fantastic tour together last summer, Steve and I decided to keep going this year. Jamming together each night during Steve’s set is one of my favorite moments of the evening. Can’t wait to get back out there.

Frampton has recently reissued his critically acclaimed, Grammy Award-winning 2006 album Fingerprints in January on his own imprint, Phenix Phonograph. Fingerprints won the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album and it contained Frampton’s cover of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun,” which was also nominated for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.

Steve Miller  talked about his excitement to tour with Frampton again:

2017 was an amazingly beautiful, creative and rewarding music experience for our band and our audience. The band and production crew are working on creating an even better concert experience for 2018 and plan on wading even deeper into the musical waters. Peter Frampton and I enjoyed last summer. There is so much to explore and we are looking forward to seeing our friends in Canada and the States soon.

2018 marks the Steve Miller Band’s 50th anniversary of touring and recording together.
