Watch Wye Oak's Psychedelic “The Louder I Call, The Faster It Runs” Video

Last month, Baltimore-native duo Wye Oak released the title single from their forthcoming album The Louder I Call, The Faster It Runs, set to release on April 6 via Merge Records. Today, the indie-rock duo, composed of Andy Stack and Jenn Wasner, unveil the music video to the title track off their highly anticipated album.

Wye Oak  filmed the music video in the arid desert of New Mexico’s White Sands National Monument. Shot by Dan Huiting, the video shows the duo standing in the sands of the desert as an unidentified man multiplies around them, running around the sand in a psychedelic time-lapse visual. The band talked about the experience in a statement, saying: “We went to the desert. It might seem hot, but it was actually cold. What is the point of all this? You’ll never outrun yourself. The past is always at your heels.”

The duo will be going on tour in support of their new album, with a solo show scheduled on the album’s release date at Mission Creek Festival in Iowa City, Iowa. The group will tour Europe and North America until near mid-summer, ending their run in Birmingham, Ala. Their full tour slate can be found below.
