Call Me By Your Name Meets Twins in This Absurd Funny or Die Parody

Funny or Die has reimagined Luca Guadagnino’s Oscar-winning romantic drama Call Me By Your Name in the silliest way possible, mashing the film up with 1988 buddy comedy Twins to produce a love story in which Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger fall for each other.

“Julius (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Vincent (Danny DeVito) are back, and this time their love is deeper than ever,” reads the video description. “Get ready for the long awaited sequel to the 1988 comedy film ‘TWINS’ that proves that the love of family truly knows no bounds.”

The mash-up intersperses footage from Twins with music, voiceovers and occasional shots from Call Me By Your Name to masterful effect, even seamlessly splicing the latter film’s dancing scene with one from the former. It also nods to Call Me By Your Name’s equally talked-about peach scene, complete with a DeVito shot stolen from It’s Always Sunny.
