Killing Eve Trailer Arrives Before Phoebe Waller-Bridge-Written Series' Apr. 8 Premiere

With the series premiere around the corner, BBC America has released the official trailer for Killing Eve.

In the trailer, Julia Michael’s “Issues” plays in the background as Eve (played by Sandra Oh) seems to be preparing for work in the mirror when she begins thinking about Villanelle’s (played by Jodie Comer) life as a murderous assassin. As Oh narrates the trailer, Eve becomes more and more obsessive over Villanelle to the point where Eve is seen bursting through the glass in the telephone booth and trying to grab for Villanelle in a club setting. The two women finally come face to face at the end of the trailer as they point guns at each other.

Since the announcement of the series, anticipation for BBC America’s original endeavor has grown as the all-female production is being called a game changer in the spy thriller genre in the age of #MeToo and Time’s Up. BBC America president Sarah Barnett said in a statement, “Coming on the heels of Orphan Black and forerunning Doctor Who’s first ever female Doctor, Killing Eve sees a genius bunch of women transcend the predictable with this funny and heart-stopping, twisted cat-and-mouse thriller. It is a startling, fresh take on the cop/assassin genre that is on-the-edge-of-your-seat entertaining and very funny.”

From the looks of the trailer,Killing Eve is going to be on a lot of must-watch lists. Watch the trailer below, along with taking a peek at some images from the first four episodes.
