Overwatch League Suspends xQc’s Replacement

The Overwatch League announced the suspension of Dallas Fuel player Minseok “OGE” Son in a statement on Thursday. OGE began serving a four game suspension for participating in “account-boosting schemes” during the summer of 2017 yesterday.

“Account boosting, wherein an individual is paid to increase another user’s Skill Rating, is contrary to the values of the Overwatch League, and violates the Blizzard End User License Agreement,” said the league.

OGE, who was signed earlier this month, was expected to replace Félix “xQc” Lengyel as a formidable tank for the Fuel following his suspension and release from the team. He is yet to play in an OWL match for the team and now will not be permitted to play until April 11.

The Overwatch League has steadily gotten somewhat better about holding its players accountable to the league’s code of conduct throughout the inaugural season, and no team has been effected more than the Dallas Fuel. OGE marks the third Fuel roster member to be suspended by the league for multiple games and the fourth suspension levied against the team overall.
