will star in a forthcoming Netflix film, Paradox written and directed by Daryl Hannah, the first trailer for which was unveiled today.
The trailer features Young (aka “the man in the black hat,” whom the narrator says “can be kind of shaky”) in a Wild West-themed narrative with beautiful shots of nature. It features footage of Young and other musicians wandering in the wilderness and two figures lining up for a duel, ending with a supernatural sequence of a man being lifted off his feet and floating in mid air.
The film, out exclusively on Netflix on March 23, has been called “a fantasy, a loud poem and a free-spirited tale of music and love.” Yesterday, it was revealed that Neil Young and his band, Promise Of The Real, will provide the original soundtrack for the film, out on March 23 both digitally and on double LP.
Young recently announced his new live album, Roxy – Tonight’s The Night Live, for Record Store Day on April 21. It will feature music from his show at Los Angeles’ Roxy Theatre in 1973. The standard vinyl, CD and digital version of the album will be out on April 24. Check out all the upcoming Record Store Day releases here.
