Watch Five Eliza Hamiltons Set "First Burn" on Fire in Lin-Manuel Miranda's Latest Hamildrop

After last month’s one-two punch of Lin-Manuel Miranda/Ben Platt collaboration “Found/Tonight,” April’s Hamildrop is “First Burn,” featuring five actresses who have played Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton in the Broadway musical Hamilton.

“First Burn” is the actual first draft of Eliza’s pivotal moment in the hit musical, titled “Burn,” written by Miranda. It happened to be Phillipa Soo’s shining moment of her Tony-nominated run. Now, the draft version is performed by five Eliza Hamiltons past and present: Ari Afsar, Julia Harriman, Lexi Lawson (who currently plays the character), Rachelle Ann Go and Shoba Narayan.

“First Burn” is the latest in the Hamildrop series, which includes December’s “Ben Franklin’s Song” with The Decemberists, “Wrote My Way Out” and its subsequent remix in January, and February’s “The Hamilton Polka” with “Weird Al” Yankovic, along with the aforementioned “Found/Tonight.”
