romantic. Formed in Charleston, South Carolina, She Returns From War is the project of trans Americana singer/songwriter/guitarist, Hunter Park. Founded in 2012, the project was inspired by the style and glamour of musicians like Parton, Parsons, and of course Emmy Lou.

“Dream Machine” is the first single from their upcoming new album, Mirrored Moon Dance Hall, which is the second full-length installment and fourth release from She Returns from War.

producer Ryan Wolfgang Zimmerman (SUSTO, Band of Horses). The result finds Park’s vision purely expressed, from blues-roots to Baroque pop, from Strokes-like guitar hooks to campfire songs, from 90s nostalgia to 60s dream folk; “Mirrored Moon..” captures Park at her finest and delivers a range of musical styles for any listener.

“Mirrored Moon Dance Hall” comes at a time when there is desperate need for a voice to be heard, and in this regard She Returns from War sings eloquent poetry. Park’s portrayal deconstructs social trivialities, and in the end, she yearns to be embraced, understood, and loved.
