The nominations for the 72nd annual Tony Awards are in. This year’s ceremony will take place on Sunday, June 10, at Radio City Music Hall and it will be hosted by Tony Award nominees Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban. The show will be broadcast live on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.

Nominations in 26 competitive categories were announced Tuesday at the Tony Award Nominations ceremony at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. The nominees were selected by an independent committee of 43 theatre professionals appointed by the Tony Awards Administration Committee.

Nominees for the prestigious Best Musical Award include Spongebob Squarepants: The Musical, Mean Girls, Frozen and The Band’s Visit. The nominees for Best Play include The Children, Farinelli and The King, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Parts One and Two), Junk and Latin History for Morons.

It was also announced this morning that a Special Tony Award will be presented to Bruce Springsteen and John Leguizamo. As previously announced, the 2018 Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre will be presented to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Chita Rivera.
