Andrew Bird Announces Fall Tour, Releases Moving “Manifest” Video

Andrew Bird  has whistled up a headlining tour for the fall, as well as released an animated new video for “Manifest.”

The extensive tour supports his brand new album My Finest Work Yet, which was recorded completely live-in-studio at Barefoot Studios in Los Angeles, and released today, March 22, via Loma Vista Recordings.

We spoke to Bird about his new album, which he called “a pretty uplifting record,” telling Paste Editor-in-Chief Josh Jackson, “I’ve always had optimism, and I have a certain faith in humanity and what we’re capable of. And whether you have a lot of reasons to believe otherwise, in this case, it’s worth kidding ourselves if it’s not true.”

Watch the evolutionary video for “Manifest” (animated by Andrea Nakhla) below, and keep scrolling for Bird’s full list of tour dates, with support including Hiss Golden Messenger and Yola, as well as his co-headlining date with Calexico and Iron & Wine. And to mix in with his new album, you can also listen to Bird’s 2007 visit to Daytrotter.
