Watch Foals’ Colorful, Dancey New Video for “In Degrees”

British indie rockers Foals took to the web Wednesday to share a music video for “In Degrees,” a cut from their recent album Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost—Part 1. The dancey track is effectively paired with a music video from Aaron Brown, who has previously worked with the likes of Arctic Monkeys and King Krule.

In the video, Foals play the track in two venues, one a naturalistic amphitheater and the other a heavily saturated, moody club space, both shot in Brazil. Across both venues, lead singer Yannis Philippakis emotively sings, effectively plays the shaker and effortlessly wears an absolutely sick shirt, showing the versatility of the band’s musical and aesthetic style.

Brown notes that he was drawn to direct the video for “In Degrees” since it is a “post-punk, four on the floor, dance track.” This style of music is found all over Foals’ discography, and will likely be found on the band’s follow-up album, Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost—Part 2, set for a release sometime this fall.

Get your indie mosh on with the “In Degrees” video below, and keep scrolling to listen to Foals’ 2008 Daytrotter session, as well as to see an updated list of their summer tour dates.
