Comedian Anthony Jeselnik is back at Comedy Central and he’s interviewing some of the best in comedy in the first trailer for his new series, Good Talk with Anthony Jeselnik.
Sitting down with and interviewing the likes of Nick Kroll, Kumail Nanjiani, Natasha Leggero, Tig Notaro, David Spade and Kristen Schaal, Jeselnik is diving into the important topics, including “their careers, influences and what it’s like to live in his massive shadow,” per a press release.
In the trailer, Jeselnik and his guests are all laughs as they sit face-to-face and banter back and forth in what seems like some sort of library—albeit one that’s comparable to both a principal’s office and seance room.
“Good Talk with Anthony Jeselnik—a show so easy to make, it got me back on television, and baby, I hate television,” Jeselnik says in the opening of the trailer.
The show was greenlit back in June, and is part of Jeselnik’s multi-platform deal with Comedy Central. Other than the show, the deal has included 40 episodes of Jeselnik’s podcast, The Jeselnik and Rosenthal Vanity Project. Prior to that, Comedy Central aired The Jeselnik Offensive for two seasons, as well as his 2013 stand-up special, Caligula.
More recently, Jeselnik released his Netflix stand-up special Fire in the Maternity Ward, which followed up his 2015 Netflix special, Thoughts and Prayers.
