Elliott Smith Would've Turned 50 Today, Hear a Classic Live Performance from 1998

Like many other musicians, Elliott Smith was taken from us far too soon. The influential singer/songwriter would’ve celebrated his 50th birthday today, so we’re sharing concert audio from one of Smith’s classic shows from the ‘90s.

On April 22, 1998, Smith performed at Tramps in New York City, playing XO hits like “Waltz #2” and “Sweet Adeline,” Either/Or highlights like “Alameda” and “Ballad of Big Nothing” and even songs from his 1994 debut Roman Candle.
