New on HBO Now: All the Movies and TV Coming in November

November is just around the corner, and that means a whole new wave of theatrical and television programming available for your streaming convenience. A slew of movie releases, original programs and series premieres (and finales!) is coming, so without further ado, here’s your November HBO watchlist.

Brand-spankin’ new feature films making their debut include Jordan Peele’s latest horror-thriller, Us. Placing a humble second on our ranking of the best movies of 2019 (so far), Us builds on what Peele started with Get Out =, and will be available closer to the end of the month on Nov. 23. If getting spooky after Halloween wraps up isn’t your cup of tea, latest DC superhero flick Shazam! is making its HBO debut on Nov. 30. Starting the month off right on Nov. 1 are some lighthearted classics like 2007’s Mr. Bean’s Holiday and fellow jokester Jim Carrey’s Bruce Almighty. For the more romantically inclined, Chocolat and Crazy, Stupid, Love are offerings for some, uh, HBO and chill. Other notable titles include Blindspotting, Carlos López Estrada’s 2018 film co-written by and co-starring Rafael Casal and Hamilton’s Daveed Diggs, whose performance garnered him the Innovator Award from the Atlanta Film Festival, Wes Anderson’sThe Darjeeling Limited and Tom Hank’ Big.

In TV, much-anticipated HBO/BBC collaboration His Dark Materials will be making its premiere on Nov. 4. Based on the fantasy novel trilogy by Philip Pullman, James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson and Lin-Manuel Miranda star in the big-budget series adaptation. For something a little more nostalgic, Sesame Street’s 50th Anniversary Celebration will be available on Nov. 9, and the 50th season kicks off on Nov. 16. On a “finale” note, we close out miniseries Catherine the Great on Nov. 11, and Season Six of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver wraps up on the 18th. Some notable original programs include acclaimed Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss’ X—his stand-up special that “takes on toxic masculinity in a 90-minute comedy special that is full of deeply funny observations about gender and sexuality.”

While we’re getting a load of entertainment gold, there are some titles we have to say goodbye to. Nov. 30 is the last day to check out blockbuster hits like Crazy Rich Asians and Spike Lee’s Oscar-winning BlacKkKlansman, two titles that both made our 50 best movies of 2018 list. The extended version of MacGruber is also heading out the door, along with My Friend Dahmer and Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again.
