Wendy’s Has Unveiled Its Own Tabletop RPG, Feast of Legends

In its never-ending quest to have the hippest internet presence around, the fast food burger slingers at Wendy’s have unveiled their newest contribution to society: The brand’s first-ever tabletop roleplaying game, dubbed Feast of Legends. That’s right—no longer must one merely play Dungeons & Dragons while munching absentmindedly on handfuls of Wendy’s fries. Now you can play a literal campaign that seems to be entirely based around the virtues of fresh (not frozen) beef. Really, check out this description at the official website:

The nation of Freshtovia has been the lone beacon of hope in the land of Beef’s Keep for decades. However, the Ice Jester and his rogues gallery of frozen fiends threaten Queen Wendy’s reign of prosperity. Prepare your heroes for adventure.

In terms of gameplay, this looks pretty familiar overall to those who are familiar with popular tabletop RPGs like the current generations of D&D or Pathfinder. The illustrations for the rulebook certainly look like they were either done by the same illustrators, or very competently evoke the style seen in Pathfinder rulebooks and bestiaries for the last decade. Granted, this time it’s in service of “an immersive fantasy campaign to support its never-ending fight against frozen beef, whether it’s in the real world or the fantasy world of Beef’s Keep,” featuring player weapons such as “ladle” and “cast-iron skillet,” and player classes that are built around menu items like the Baconator or the Frosty.

The game launched today at the New York Comic Con, in partnership with Fandom and Critical Role, but you can also start playing today at home. The rulebook is available for download in its entirety right here, so you can start having epic, hamburger-centric adventures as soon as you can whip a party together. For Freshtovia!
