Hear Norah Jones & Wild Rovers Cover Gram Parsons in 2013

Norah Jones is an all-star collaborator. Tonight (Dec. 19), two of our greatest folk/rock-minded singer/songwriters, Jones and Sharon Van Etten, will play together on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The pair released a new version of Van Etten’s “Seventeen,” which we named the best song of the year, several months ago on Amazon Music, and tonight they’ll debut the tune on TV.

But this will hardly be the first time Jones has joined her peers for a memorable performance. Back in 2013, she gathered with Wild Rovers at Codfish Hollow in Maquoketa, Iowa on a steamy summer night to play a few tunes together for Daytrotter. They played Gram Parsons’ “Hickory Wind” (which appeared on The Byrds’ Sweetheart of the Rodeo) and the Steve Miller Band’s “Take The Money And Run.”
