R2-D2 Protects an Ewok in These Illustrations from a New Picture Book

R2-D2 babysitting an Ewok is the wholesome content we didn’t know we needed. The newest picture book in the Droid Tales series drops C-3PO, BB-8 and R2-D2 on the forest moon of Endor, but things don’t go according to plan. While C-3PO and BB-8 have fun with their furry companions, R2-D2 “finds himself in a wilderness experience gone wrong when he comes across a small Ewok in need of help.”

Written by Caitlin Kennedy and illustrated by Brian Kesinger, this adorable book is a must-read for young (and young at heart) Star Wars fans. Disney Lucasfilm Press will release Star Wars: R2-D2 Is Lost! on February 11th, and you can pre-order it here.

We’re excited to share some charming illustrations from the book ahead of its release, featuring R2-D2’s unsuccessful attempt to cross a mud pit with an Ewok in tow.

If you love this title, you’ll want to check out the first book in the Droid Tales series. Star Wars: C-3PO Does Not Like Sand! was released in 2019, and it’s available here.
