The last day of Wakarusa was plagued by marble-sized hail and violent thunderstorms. Fans rode out the weather, however, and when the skies cleared long enough to continue, the festival proceeded business as usual. As Wakarusa began to wind down, the Main Stage closed, and the headlining sets moved to the Revival Tent. Reggae acts dominated the day with performances by SOJA and Slightly Stoopid, but the most anticipated show of the night was Matisyahu, whose set was filled with the rapper’s trademark hip-hop style set to psychedelic grooves, dub beats, rock riffs and a little bit of 8-bit tones. Some fans were disappointed to see that the rapper had traded his traditional Jewish appearance for the attire of every other hip-hop star, wearing a tracksuit hoodie, flat-billed baseball cap, jeans and a t-shirt. All debate aside, Wakarusa finished up in fine fashion leaving attendees eagerly awaiting next year’s lineup.
