U.K. rock quartet Tribes mixes a foundation of ‘90s alternative bands and a fresh outlook that allows their sound to be anything but stale. They formed in 2010 and have already released two EPs, but are set to release their first full length Baby on March 13 via Universal Republic.
“Whenever,” the first track off of the album, continues to explore the sound that their EPs focused on, but also turns heads for those who missed out on their first couple of releases. “Whenever” contains a distorted guitar riffs and a bass line that sounds like staples of the mid-’90s layered with flowing vocals from frontman Johnny Lloyd.
In addition to releasing their album in March, Tribes will also go on tour in the U.S. including nine gigs at this year’s South by Southwest. Check out the tour dates and stream “Whenever” below.
