Hilly Eye is the collaboration of guitarist and vocalist Amy Klein and drummer and vocalist Catherine Tung. The two have been working together since 2009, and began as an effort between Klein (formerly of Titus Andronicus) and Tung to create something noisey and primitive while maintaining elements of psychedelia.
Hilly Eye’s forthcoming album Reasons to Live embodies exactly that, from the droning guitars to the aggressive vocals. It’s an effort that makes use of soft sounds as well as violent, loud ones.
The album will be released on Jan. 22 via Don Giovanni, but in the meantime you can stream the album in its entirety in the player below.
