Between the constant motion, non-stop music and endless open bars of Austin’s South by Southwest, it’s easy to be overwhelmed. Fortunately, Paste took a few breaks from the musical mayhem of downtown to see some of our favorite new artists perform in a more intimate setting as they stopped by our backyard in East Austin and engaged our team with a few tunes.
One of the things we were particularly thankful for was SXSW’s ability to attract artists from all over the world. Norway’s Highasakite has been a Paste favorite since the band wowed us at last year’s Oya festival. As the buzz from their SXSW performances refuses to cease and the band continues to confirm festivals and tour dates, it’s clear we haven’t heard the last of these chill-wavers.
