Valley Music & Arts Festival is one of the biggest live music events in the country, growing so large that in recent years the festival has expanded to two weekends of genre-crossing musical innovation and constant surprises.
During this year’s festival, we at Paste took some time in Los Angeles, Calif. to record stripped-down sessions with some of our favorite festival artists. In this installment of the Poolside Sessions, we caught up with Guards. The band has had a successful 2013, playing a multitude of shows at South By Southwest in March (including our own with HGTV at Stage on Sixth) and making the bill for big festivals like Coachella and a national tour. Stripping things down for us by the pool in L.A., Richie Follin along with bandmates Loren Ted Humphrey and Kaylie Church put on a glowing performance of “Coming True” from their latest release In Guards We Trust.
Watch the performance from Guards below.
