For our ninth annual dayparties during South By Southwest, Paste teamed up with HGTV to bring downtown Austin four days of music at the Stage on Sixth. We hosted a pretty wide array of musicians that week, ranging from new favorites like Mount Moriah and Phox to beloved old favorites like Josh Ritter, and even a few industry veterans.
One such pair of veterans, Buddy Miller and Jim Lauderdale, kicked off our Friday party to a huge crowd, and their performance gave plenty of evidence as to why these guys are considered two of the greats. Laughing and joking from the stage and putting on one hell of a fun show, there was no doubt that Miller and Lauderdale still have the performance chops that earned them their musical reputations in the first place.
