Toronto songwriter Doug Paisley gained quite a following for for 2010’s Constant Companion, and now he returns with forthcoming album Strong Feelings, a 10-song collection of original work recorded largely in Toronto in an analog studio.
For Strong Feelings, Paisley enlisted many trusted collaborators ranging from Emmett Kelly (The Cairo Gang) on guitar, Bazil Donovan on bass, Gary Craig on drums and Robbie Grunwaldon keys, along with Canadian vocalist Mary Margaret O’Hara. Even the legendary Garth Hudson makes an appearance, all raising the already significant anticipation for this latest release from Paisley.
Watch the teaser video for Strong Feelings and track “What’s Up Is Down” featuring Hudson on renowned pianist Glenn Gould’s piano at the actual recording session. Strong Feelings is set for release on Jan. 21.
