New Jersey native and 21-year-old Jonah Tolchin shared the reflective single “21st Century Girl” off his forthcoming LP earlier this year. Now, you can take a listen to the album in its entirety before its July release.
Titled Clover Lane after the street Tolchin grew up on, the album is a blues-infused tale of his unique journey. “I am a believer in a deeper meaning behind life. This record is a passionate manifestation of the cosmos in perfect harmony,” he said. “The house I grew up in on Clover Lane is the center of the spider’s web from which the interconnected strands have been woven into these songs and recordings.”
The album, produced by Lone Justice’s Marvin Etzioni and engineered by Anderson East in Nashville, features Deer Tick’s John McCauley, Willie Nelson’s harmonica player Mickey Raphael and Los Lobos’ Steve Berlin among others.
You can catch Tolchin on the road this summer with artists like Tony Joe White, Dave Alvin & Phil Alvin and Christopher Paul Stelling, as well as at the AMAs this fall. Clover Lane is officially out July 1 via Yep Roc.
