Dom Flemons, who has already won many fans as a member of Carolina Chocolate Drops, is set to release his solo album Prospect Hill this summer. The album features contributions from Guy Davis and was inspired largely by the music of Pete Seeger, whose death deeply impacted Flemons and Davis. Flemons’ sound will feel somewhat familiar to fans of Carolina Chocolate Drops, and Flemons’ harmonica-heavy, foot-tapping folk makes for the perfect hot summer soundtrack. Prospect Hill is set for release via Music Maker Relief Foundation on July 22.
