Last year, EELS took off on an extensive tour in the wake of the release of LP The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett. When the band performed at London’s renowned Royal Albert Hall on June 30, twelve cameras were rolling to catch the entire performance, an expansive 28-song set that included tracks from all points in the band’s long history. While EELS has been known to perform with varying levels of instrumentation, this particular performance included only the five core members on stage. The recordings will be released as a live album and film directed by Charlie Lightening, EELS—Royal Albert Hall, on April 14. In anticipation of the release, EELS have shared a clip of “I Like Birds” from the film. Check out the clip in the player above. EELS—Royal Albert Hall is available for pre-order here.
