Sure, maybe you’ve got all of the Beatles’ remastered albums, every Anthology collection, the mono albums and if you’re really lucky, you’ve got a “butcher” cover or two. But an auction that will take place next month will test exactly how crazy some people are over the Beatles.
Whether it’s awesome or not, that is debatable, but thanks to an auction in Stockport, you’ll have a chance to buy one of John Lennon’s teeth. As the BBC reports, the tooth was given to Beatles’ housekeeper Dot Jarlett when she worked for Lennon at the Kenwood mansion in Surrey in the ‘60s.
Dot’s son Barry told the BBC:
“He was in the kitchen and he had this tooth which he had wrapped in a piece of paper.
“He said: ‘Dot will you dispose of this’ and then he said: ‘Or, as your daughter’s a Beatles fan, you can give to her as a souvenir.’”
The tooth will be auctioned on Nov. 5 through Omega Auctions and is expected to fetch at least £10,000 in the auction.
“He was very generous to my mother,” Barry later told the BBC. You can read the full story here.
